sees and hears the cliff beginning to sneeze.) Oh man! R: You think she should go there? You think. And if they take this, then put the other twin. He articulates the goal of the puzzle (to get the Zoombinis across the bridge by seeing which Zoombini the bridges will take) as well as a strategy for doing so: once you get a Zoombini across, its twin will follow over the same bridge. The total time of this clip represents about 1 minute and 45 seconds. is explaining the game to C as they enter Level 1 with 8 pairs of "twin" Zoombinis. has played Zoombinis twice previously this is C's first time with the game. Solving this puzzle is like playing Guess My Rule - on Level 1 the game sorts the Zoombinis according to one characteristic - for example, all the Zoombinis with sunglasses go across the bottom bridge the rest (one-eyed, two open eyes, regular glasses, and droopy eyes) go across the top bridge. Zoombinis who are placed on the incorrect bridge are sneezed back by the Cliffs (this also removes one of the six pegs holding the bridges in place). Each Zoombini can go over only one of the two bridges.

Players get six chances to get all 16 Zoombinis across a chasm.

For example, in the puzzle 'Allergic Cliffs', the player is given a choice of 2 bridges, each of which will allow Zoombinis to pass only if they have certain combinations of features such as 'red nose', but as the difficulty increases, the combinations will require more than one body part such as nose and hair making the puzzles gradually harder to work out. The puzzles involve the physical features of the Zoombinis as part of the solution. The Zoombinis therefore decide to flee and search for a new home, and on their journey they encounter a variety of logic puzzles which the player must solve. Their lives are interrupted by a race called the Bloats, who offer to expand trade routes and improve the Zoombinis' quality of life instead they take advantage of the situation and enslave the Zoombinis. They are peaceful and successful, living on a small island called Zoombini Isle. The game is based around the "Zoombinis", a race of small blue creatures which are depicted with varying eyes, noses, hair, and feet. There are three titles in the series: The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis, Zoombinis Mountain Rescue, and Zoombinis Island Odyssey.
